Updates - The Older Ones...

December 2004 New Updates This Month:

We've been really busy getting some absolutely superb new content ready for the site, and making a few tweaks along the way!

Where do we start...

We've added a few title sequences to the Sound and Video sections of several programmes

Swap Shop
• Swap Shop - AM-UK (1981)
• Swap Shop Series 6 (1982)
• Swap Shop Star Awards (1981)
• Multi Coloured Music Show (1981)

Saturday SuperStore
• Mike Read's Replay Selection (1984)

Going Live!
• Saturday Starts Here (1987) - The strand that preceded Going Live!
• Going Live - First Show (1987)

We've fully updated the Archive and introduced new sections to house some of the wonderful new items we have thanks to another donation to Saturday Mornings - here's what's new... (Items marked * have been loaned to the Archive)

Swap Shop
• Pen
• Photo - After the Last Swap Shop
• Script of the last show *
• 'Fred' the dinosaur kit

Saturday SuperStore
• Pen

Going Live!
• Pen/Keyring
• T-shirt
• Script of the last show *

Live & Kicking
• Script of the first show *
• Pen/Keyring
• T-shirt
• Demin Jacket
• Clock *
• Cast & Crew Photo & Negatives
• ORIGINAL photos used for Publicity cards for Emma Ledden, Sarah
Cawood, Katy Hill, Ortis Deley & Trey Farley
• Sticker

We're not too proud to say that we got it wrong - but we did! Somehow we forgot about the Multi-Coloured Music Show from 1981 and the second set of Mike Read's Replay Selection from 1984 - but we've made amends and now they are documented in the Spin Off Shows feature.

Our Christmas Present took the shape of the full Brown Sauce sequence from the 1981 Star Awards - and now takes up its place in both the Swap Shop Sound and Video section. The Christmas page was just so packed full of pictures and information that we've tweaked it slightly and kept it - it is now available in the Swap Shop section under Brown Sauce.

And that's it for 2004.

November 2004 New Updates This Month:

After the month of the most updates to the site ever, we calm down a little...

The archive is now enriched with a copt of Dick and Dom - The Dirty Norris Files, a DVD which you can go out and buy for yourself if you feel so enclined!

Two further archive additions in the shape of a Saturday SuperStore badge, and a copy of the Radio Times from September 1992 featuring Going Live! on the cover.

October 2004 New Updates This Month:

We're back in business after a quiet September..!

We start with updates to the archive - a different copy of Swap Shop book 4 has come our way - this one is signed by the team. Also, a Saturday Show script joins our collection of Saturday Morning related items.

The final missing Swap Shop publicity card of John Craven has finally come our way, so that's available for viewing in the normal place.

Also in the archive is a copy of the 8-14 October 1977 Radio Times which has a large Swap Shop feature. You can see the cover in the archive, and we'll have the relevant Swappie related pages transcribed soon.

With a complete set of revised Sound and Video galleries, now displayed in chronological order within media type (sound then video), in place on the site, we've added four new clips for your perusal. Which are...

Swap Shop - Maggie talks about Brown Sauce
Live & Kicking - Andi's (rather emotional!) last show
Dick & Dom - Series 2 Trailer
Dick & Dom - Series 2 Titles

More are coming shortly, plus we'll be revising what clips we can to our new size formats.

More new archive items to report. A now rare Saturday SuperStore sticker, a Live & Kicking 'Gromit' knitting pattern, and from the Saturday Show a Mug and Bowl set and also a badge.

Four Years Old!
To celebrate our birthday we've added two new clips. We've dug out another Swap Shop trailer out-take from our dusty archives - this time its Noel trying too hard to fit in just too much information - and the other is from Dick & Dom - baby racing with a French theme.. marvelously silly!

And a couple of new features too! We list all of the news and press links on bbc.co.uk that relate to the subject of this site, and crash back to the hideous fashions of 1977 with a recreation of a Swap Shop listing in the Radio Times.

September 2004 New Updates This Month:

What is going to be a month of few updates to site see the addition of a SuperStore Compliments Slip to the site's archive.

August 2004 New Updates This Month:

A 1999 CD compilation - Live & Kicking The Viewer's Choice Part One - comes to the site's archive.

A new card for the Live & Kicking collection (Emma Forbes) and a revised card for Going Live! (Sarah Greene).

July 2004 New Updates This Month:

What with one thing and another, not a lot happened to the site in June (apart from one minor cosmetic change we suspect no one spotted...), but we've a few updates to the site to report before our summer holiday comes along...

We've added a couple of video clips (in our new larger video format). One of a glimpse of The Goodies at the Swap Shop Rock Garden Party, and one of David Sneddon making a complete hash of guest presenting The Saturday Show. You'll find the clips in the appropriate show's Sound and Video gallery.

And talking of our new format... see the page detailing the change in our video standards by clicking here - it shows you just how much more picture you'll get.

We've also got an updated publicity card of Simon Grant from his earliest days on the Saturday Show.

Another items for the archive, this time its a CD from 1996 - 'Live & Kicking - 20 Kickin' Hits'.

And a quick update to the Saturday Show Publicaity Card section to add the four new cards from the current series of the show.

And we've finally tracked down a copy of the Keith Chegwin card that completes the second set of Swap Shop publicity cards.

May 2004 New Updates This Month:

We've made a few minor tweaks to the site's appearance, and re-worked the Publicity Card 'pop-up' screens - altogether far more aesthetically pleasing!

The 'Swing Your Pants' section finally takes up its intended home in the Features section.

A change to the Home Page introduces a far more ordered (and easier to administer) look.

A Going Live! Joke Box Joke Book comes our way, and takes up its place in our growing Archive.

Another of the rare black and white Swap Shop publicity cards finds it's way into the collection. See Cheggers in the appropriate card gallery.

And the Archive gets a new section - Magazines.

A new set of 'drop down' menus have been attached to Features, Publicity Cards and Archive on the site menu above. Site stats show that over 98.5% of our visitors use a compatible browser.

April 2004

New Updates This Month:

A few minor cosmetic changes to the site - including a nifty new footer line!

The site can also be accessed via www.satmorns.co.uk (from 6 April) for those among you who can't be bothered to type the whole URL!

A couple of additions to the card gallery for Live & Kicking. One is a revised picture of Jamie, and a second card featuring the 'Men In Trousers' appears - this time featuring their characters from the 'Staff Room' sketch.

A few updates for the new series of the Saturday Show are also around in the Data Sheet and Gallery.

Two more Saturday Show cards have come to the site - replacements of Joe and Stamford Amp.

A final update squeezes into April as we add a first glimpse of the Going Live! script that was signed by presenters and guests on 10 April 1993 - check out the archive and the Going Live! section for more details.

March 2004

New Updates This Month:

Fresh from a well earned break, the webmaster finally finds time to update the site...!

Three publicity cards to report - 2 revised and 1 new. Revised cards are a Phillip Schofield and a Trev and Simon in the Going Live! section, and a brand new Zoë Ball card is now in the Live and Kicking section.

With new of the return of the Saturday Show, a page has been added with the details known at this time. Also, the show's section has had a long overdue update to the About, Data Sheet and Team pages.

The Trev and Simon section has at last got some more of the duo's creations available for viewing so now there's no excuse to do some Wheeling and a Dealing!

A couple of new items feature in the archive. We've got a Swap Shop scarf and a set of L&K playing cards. See the Archive for full details.

January 2004

New Updates This Month:

Finally... we bring you the music from two of the records in the site's archive! In the SuperStore section, you'll find two tracks (Down At The SuperStore and Half Day Closing), and in the Swap Shop section we have 'Spring Has Sprung' from The Saucers.

And a couple of video clips for SuperStore (a trailer outtake and a flash back to 1986 courtesy of 'That Was The Week We Watched') find their way into the show's Sound and Video gallery.

The Webmaster is taking a well earned break in February, so updates will return in March...

December 2003

New Updates This Month:

The oldest Saturday Mornings related item is added to the site in the form of a black and white publicity card signed by Noel.

And the little know Brown Sauce follow up record by 'The Saucers' come to the site's archive.

Just before we wind down for the festive season, there's been time to add the Christmas version of the Dick and Dom titles.

November 2003

New Updates This Month:

Out goes the Home Page Theme Jukebox, and in comes Your Favourite Show. This allows you to select your favourite show, which is then displayed on the Home Page along with a selection of quick-links to some of that show's content - anything new added to the show's section will appear in the list so watch it for new items!

We've rearranged the archive into five separate sections containing relevant items from our collection, along with a page for recent acquisitions.

A prize item joins the archive - a Swap Shop mug. See it in the 'Other' section.

And Swing Your Pants! as the start of the Trev and Simon section comes to the site!

October 2003

New Updates This Month:

Two video updates for the Dick and Dom section. Firstly the second of the trailers that adorned the airwaves in the early days of the series, and secondly, what happened when Mr Double Dare found himself locked up in the cage in the basement of the bungalow!

Thanks go to Paul Alley for his contribution of six cards - Mike, Keith and John in the SuperStore publicity card gallery and Noel, John and Maggie in the Swap Shop publicity card gallery.

Another (older) John Craven card hits the SuperStore publicity card page, and the David Icke image is updated.

A couple of replacements are in the Saturday Show publicity card gallery - now that the cards are in the site's archive...

...and talking of the archive, two new video have found their way in too. We've now got copies of Phillip Schofield's Going Live! Adventure Films and Trev & Simon's Stupid Video.

Updates to the Going Live! Sound and Video page to include the closing theme and the 'generic' titles in the style of series 1 & 2.

September 2003

New Updates This Month:

What happened to August? Surely there was an updated Swap Shop theme? Ho Hum!

September: Two revised and one brand new Going Live! publicity cards are on the site.

And a rare Saturday Picture Show cards sees the start of the Replacements publicity card gallery.... and Ken Diaz adds a couple of Fully Booked cards.

Remember SuperStore's annoying Crow? His card is now in the SuperStore section!

We complete the original L&K line-up with a two cards featuring Emma Forbes.

And Ken Diaz comes up trumps again with three Saturday Show Extra cards featuring Sarra and Nihal Arthanayake .

John Robertson makes his contribution to the collection with the missing Emma Ledden card for the Live & Kicking gallery and three FBi cards for the Replacements section.

We've extended our Archive with three items... The L&K Show Maker CD-ROM, the Stamford Amp single and a rather rare book with details on how to make your very own Posh Paws!

This should be the last Publicity Card update (unless something else turns up - what a month!) We've got a revised Going Live! card of Phillip Schofield (signed) and we also almost complete the SuperStore team with a card of the oft forgotten Vicky Licorish.

With the launch of Dick & Dom in da Bungalow on the unsuspecting public, you'll find it now has it's own menu and section.
